Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 24, 2026
CoralPaths is a social discovery platform where people can connect through shared interests, friendship, activities, community and, for adults, dating or romantic connections.
These Community Guidelines explain the behaviour and content allowed on CoralPaths. They apply to your profile, photos, messages, groups, events and every other part of the service. They may also apply to conduct outside CoralPaths when that conduct involves another CoralPaths user or indicates a risk of harm to our community.
1. Use an Authentic Identity
Your account must represent you accurately. You may use the name you normally go by, but you must not mislead others about who you are.
You must not:
- Impersonate another person, business or organisation.
- Use another person's photographs without permission.
- Misrepresent your age, identity, location or intentions.
- Create fake, deceptive or misleading profiles.
- Operate multiple accounts to evade restrictions, blocks, reports or enforcement.
- Share, sell, transfer or allow another person to use your account.
- Misrepresent yourself as a CoralPaths employee, representative or officially approved organiser.
Verification indicators are signals only. They do not guarantee a person's identity, background, intentions or conduct.
2. Age Requirements and Protection of Minors
You must be at least 16 years old to use CoralPaths. Dating, romantic and other adult-only features are strictly limited to users aged 18 or older.
You must not:
- Access CoralPaths if you are under 16.
- Claim to be 18 or older to access dating or adult-only features.
- Use CoralPaths to sexualise, groom, exploit or endanger a minor.
- Request, create, possess, distribute or threaten to distribute sexual content involving anyone under 18.
- Encourage a minor to conceal a relationship or meeting from their parent, guardian or trusted adult.
- Arrange romantic or sexual contact between an adult and a minor.
Apparent child sexual abuse or exploitation may be reported to the appropriate authorities or child-protection organisations where required or permitted by law.
3. Respect Other People
Treat other users with dignity. A match, reply, previous conversation or in-person meeting does not create an obligation to continue interacting.
We do not allow:
- Bullying, humiliation, intimidation or sustained hostility.
- Repeated unwanted contact or attempts to bypass a block.
- Insults targeting someone's appearance, body or personal circumstances.
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual comments.
- Deliberately sharing content intended to shock, distress or degrade someone.
- Coordinating or encouraging others to harass, report or target a person.
4. Hate and Identity-Based Abuse
CoralPaths does not permit content or behaviour that attacks, dehumanises, threatens or promotes hatred against people based on protected or personal characteristics.
This includes race, colour, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, health condition or another characteristic protected by law.
We do not allow:
- Slurs or degrading stereotypes.
- Calls for exclusion, segregation, violence or discrimination.

5. Threats, Violence and Dangerous Conduct
Do not threaten, promote, coordinate or celebrate violence or serious physical harm.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Credible or implied threats against another person.
- Stalking, surveillance or attempts to locate someone without consent.
- Encouraging terrorism, violent extremism or organised violence.
- Human trafficking, coercion, kidnapping or forced exploitation.
- Promoting dangerous challenges likely to cause serious harm.
- Displaying weapons to intimidate or threaten others.
- Animal cruelty or content celebrating deliberate cruelty.
6. Consent and Sexual Misconduct
Consent must be freely given, informed, specific and ongoing. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Flirting, matching, sharing contact details or agreeing to meet does not mean consent to physical or sexual activity.
We do not allow:
- Sexual assault, coercion or threats.
- Pressure to perform sexual acts or share intimate content.
- Non-consensual touching or removal of protection.
- Sexual activity involving someone who cannot consent because they are asleep, unconscious or severely impaired.
- Recording or distributing intimate content without every depicted person's consent.
- Threatening to publish intimate material, including sextortion.
7. Nudity and Sexual Content
Public-facing profiles and content must be appropriate for a general audience aged 16 and older.
Do not post or send:
- Pornography or explicit sexual activity.
- Visible genitals or fully exposed intimate body parts.
- Unsolicited sexual images or videos.
- Sexual content involving or appearing to involve a minor.
- Digitally created, edited or AI-generated intimate content depicting a real person without consent.
Non-sexual content shared for legitimate health, educational or advocacy purposes may be reviewed according to its context.
8. Privacy and Personal Information
Respect other people's privacy. Do not expose, obtain or distribute personal information without authorisation.
This includes:
- Home or work addresses and precise live locations.
- Phone numbers, private email addresses or identification documents.
- Passwords, authentication codes or financial information.
- Medical, employment or private family information.
- Private messages, photographs or recordings shared without consent.
Do not threaten to expose private information or encourage other people to locate, contact or harass someone.
9. Scams, Fraud and Financial Exploitation
Do not use CoralPaths to deceive another person for money, property, account access or any other benefit.
We prohibit:
- Romance, friendship, emergency and investment scams.
- Requests for gift cards, wire transfers or cryptocurrency.
- Money laundering, money-mule recruitment or stolen payment methods.
- Phishing, identity theft and account-takeover attempts.
- Fake fundraising or fabricated emergencies.
- Blackmail, sextortion and other forms of financial coercion.
- Pyramid schemes, deceptive investments and guaranteed-return claims.
- Promoting gambling or financial services unlawfully.
10. Commercial Activity and Solicitation
CoralPaths is intended for genuine personal and community connections, not unsolicited commercial activity.
Without our prior written permission, you must not:
- Advertise or sell products and services.
- Recruit users for employment, investment or business opportunities.
- Promote external accounts primarily to gain followers or traffic.
- Send spam, referral links or repetitive promotional messages.
- Solicit sexual services or commercial sexual arrangements.
- Promote compensated dating arrangements, including so-called “sugar” relationships.
- Run competitions, fundraising campaigns or political solicitations.
CoralPaths may separately authorise specific organisations, businesses or community partners under additional terms.
11. Illegal and Regulated Activities
Do not use CoralPaths to commit, organise, promote or facilitate unlawful activity.
This includes:
- The sale or distribution of illegal drugs.
- Human trafficking or sexual exploitation.
- Weapons trafficking or unlawful weapon sales.
- The sale of stolen, counterfeit or prohibited goods.
- Fraud, hacking, extortion or unauthorised system access.
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national or international law.
12. Self-Harm and Suicide
Do not encourage, glorify or provide instructions for suicide, self-harm or dangerous eating-disorder behaviour. Do not target or manipulate someone because they are vulnerable.
Supportive discussion and personal recovery stories may be allowed when they do not encourage harmful behaviour. If someone appears to be in immediate danger, contact emergency services for their location. CoralPaths is not an emergency service.
13. Misinformation and Manipulated Content
Do not deliberately share false or manipulated information that is likely to create a serious risk of physical harm, fraud, unlawful discrimination or interference with emergency services.
AI-generated or edited material must not be used to impersonate, defraud, defame, sexually exploit or falsely incriminate another person.
14. Spam, Automation and Platform Misuse
You must not:
- Send bulk, repetitive or irrelevant messages.
- Use bots, scripts or unauthorised automation.
- Scrape profiles, photographs, messages or other service data.
- Upload malware, spyware, malicious links or harmful code.
- Interfere with security, verification or moderation systems.
- Manipulate matches, recommendations, engagement or reporting systems.
- Reverse engineer or access non-public parts of the service unlawfully.
- Help a suspended or banned person return through another account.
15. Intellectual Property
Only upload content that you created or have permission to use. Do not infringe another person's copyright, trademark, publicity, image, database or other rights.
CoralPaths may remove content in response to a valid rights-holder complaint and may restrict accounts that repeatedly infringe intellectual-property rights.
16. Offline Conduct
These Guidelines may apply to conduct during meetings, activities or relationships that began through CoralPaths.
We may take action when credible information indicates that a user has committed serious harassment, violence, stalking, fraud, sexual misconduct, exploitation or another act that could place the CoralPaths community at risk.
17. Reporting Violations
If you encounter conduct that violates these Guidelines, use the reporting tools available on the relevant profile, conversation, group or activity.
Reports should be made honestly and in good faith. Knowingly submitting false, repetitive or retaliatory reports is itself a violation.
Preserve relevant usernames, messages, receipts or screenshots when it is safe and lawful to do so. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the European Union, the common emergency number is 112.
18. How We Enforce These Guidelines
CoralPaths may use automated systems, human review and user reports to identify potential violations. Context, severity, available evidence, previous violations and risk to others may be considered when deciding what action to take.
Actions may include:
- Sending a warning or safety notice.
- Removing or limiting content.
- Restricting access to particular features.
- Requiring identity, age or selfie verification.
- Temporarily suspending an account.
- Permanently terminating an account.
- Preventing the creation of replacement accounts.
- Preserving information or notifying authorities when required or permitted by law.
Serious violations may result in immediate removal without a prior warning.
19. Appeals
Where an appeal is available, you may challenge an enforcement decision through [APPEAL PATH] within [APPEAL PERIOD].
Appeals must provide accurate information and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that the original decision will be changed.
20. Updates to These Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines to reflect changes to CoralPaths, our safety practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
Continued use of CoralPaths after an updated version becomes effective means that the updated Guidelines apply to your future use of the service.
